Summer is in full swing! We will be offering a FREE virtual Home Food Preservation Series in July and August 2020 to help you enjoy the harvest all year. Each class will be offered from noon-1 p.m., grab your lunch and meet us on Zoom!
Each class must be registered for individually. After registering you will receive an email with a link to the Zoom class. Please be sure to keep this email. Registration for each class will close at noon the day before. 

Canning jars

Wednesday, July 22 – Water Bath Canning 
This workshop is for those who wish to gain knowledge on how to safely can high acid and acidified foods such as fruit, jams, jellies, and pickles. The class will cover the basics of water bath canning. Eventbrite Registration
Tuesday, July 28-  Freezing 
This workshop is designed for participants to identify appropriate foods for freezing. Learn methods of preparing and packing food for freezing, recipe ideas for frozen foods, and more. Eventbrite Registration
Wednesday, August 5 – Pressure Canning 
This workshop is for those who wish to gain knowledge on how to safely can low acid foods such as vegetables and meat in their home kitchen. Participants will learn about home canning safety, processing in a pressure canner, how to test if jars are sealed and properly store home-canned food. Eventbrite Registration
Wednesday, August 12 – Dehydration 
This workshop will cover the basic principles of drying food, equipment, and tools needed. We will discuss drying fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Eventbrite Registration
