This year, there is a state-wide Egg-Cellent Egg Contest for 4-H’ers! This contest is open to youths ages 5-18 (as of January 1). To participate, the child must be enrolled in 4-H Online. Please read all of the information below before registering!

Egg-Cellent Egg Contest Details & Guidelines

**Registration deadline is September 9, 2022. Click to register.**

**Eggs are due to the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Rowan County office by 8:30 a.m. on November 3. We have to get them to Raleigh that day, so I need them on time! This time/date could change slightly.**

It is $15 per youth to participate which includes a t-shirt if they complete the project. This fee is due to 4-H Agent, Laura Allen, by NOON on Monday, September 12. If your child has Cloverbucks, we can use those (email Mrs. Laura to look up your child’s Cloverbucks total). Otherwise, you can pay the $15 fee in cash (exact change) or check made out to Rowan CES, and then we will send the money to the correct contact person.

Youth can submit up to 2 dozen eggs as long as they are not in the same color and size categories. Color categories are white, brown, blue/green and there are multiple size categories. Participants have to attend two mandatory training sessions VIRUTALLY and complete a supplemental section for their age group. All resources and supplemental parts and anything else the participants need to know will be shared with those who register.

-Initial Training is September 13 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom – this is mandatory for all participants to either join the live Zoom or watch the recording and tell their agent they watched the recording. Meeting zoom link will be sent the day before the training to the participants.
